Why coding?
Coding is essential in many fields even if you are not majoring in computer science. It is a crucial skill in our world today and is used in many ways. We hope that students who join one of our courses attain a positive approach towards this expansive field. Coding allows for students to get creative, curious about how various technologies work, understand how to solve different challenges, and will most definitely be helpful in the future.
Is the class very fast-paced?
If you feel overwhelmed, there will be time at the end to ask questions and we can consider moving you to a level that best fits you. We will have opportunities for people who are fast learners or already have some previous knowledge as well.
What languages can I learn?
Our courses currently include block code, JavaScript, and Java. To learn more information on our courses, we highly suggest looking at our curriculum page! Get ready to learn languages such as C# and Python in the future!
How long is each course?
Each course is typically two months long with classes twice a week (Saturdays and Sundays). Timings for the class vary depending on which course you are taking. If you unable to attend class on a certain day, we have material the student can cover asynchronously.
How much does each course cost?
The cost of each course is $50. All money is used to allow students around the world to have a STEM education. Payments for the course can be made through the store page and should be payed before the first class. If you are unable to afford the course, please contact us.
Do I need coding experience to join the course?
No, the beginner course is made for beginners. No prior knowledge is required. However, if you have prior coding experience, it is strongly suggested that you take the diagnostic quiz found in the curriculum page to find the course that best fits you.
